Pierre Ventur is a partner and portfolio manager at The Boston Family Office. He joined the firm in 2000 and serves as our Chief Investment Officer.

Previously, Pierre was a senior portfolio manager with both PNC Advisors in Cincinnati and Key Trust Co. of Ohio/Key Asset Management. His investment career began in New England in 1984 and included seven years as a Trust Investment Officer at Union Trust Co./First Fidelity Bancorp in New Haven.

Pierre earned a BA from the University of Washington in 1971, and a Master of Philosophy in Anthropology from Yale University in 1974. He is also a graduate of the National Trust School.

Prior to entering the investment field Pierre enjoyed a career in college teaching, research and publication. He maintains an avid interest in his academic pursuits, especially Native American Studies and linguistics. A classically trained violinist, Pierre participates in local ensemble groups.

Pierre and his wife, Bobbie, reside in Beverly.
