George P. Beal helped found The Boston Family Office and now is its Managing Partner as well as a portfolio manager.

Previously George was a Vice President at the Cambridge Trust Company, handling various duties ranging from commercial loans to branch management. Prior to that he was with the Bank of New England, working in a variety of areas from retail banking, operations, credit training to commercial finance.

George earned a BA from the University of Pennsylvania in 1975. In addition, he is a graduate of the National Trust School.

George is a trustee of Northeast Investors Trust, an income-oriented mutual fund.

Committed to his community, George is on the Board of the Shady Hill School, heading its Audit Committee and serving on its Investment and Education Committees. He also is a member of the Board of Homeowners Rehab Cambridge, serving on its Audit and Asset Management Committees. Finally, he is a Trustee of the Brookline Music School, serving on its Finance Committee.

He lives in Chestnut Hill with his wife Barbara and daughter Charlotte.
